Tashyβs Big Mess Up written by Kathy Joy Saunders is an adorable picture book that teaches children responsibility, accountability, and amenability with rhyming words. Tashy thinks her gray house is dull and decides to brighten it by painting it elderberry purple. Before long Tashy and her friend learn they have an enormous mess on their hands. How will Tashy fix the big mess? Tashy apologizes to her parents for making a huge mess. As a consequence her mom says Tashy will help her brother paint the house. The story teaches kids a valuable lesson on taking responsibility for their actions. It also teaches them how to use cooperation to make amends for their mistakes. Vivid illustrations and verses will keep children engaged in this delightful story. I highly recommend this book for young children. Five stars for Tashyβs Big Mess Up!
